August 7, 2026 — The District 3780, Rotary Club of Roces, led by Rotary Club President Ms. Jesseilyn F. Coros, joined efforts to support the 3rd Quarter Blood Donation Drive of Malabon City Jail–Male Dormitory (CJMD), in partnership with the Philippine Blood Center–Department of Health (PBC-DOH), as part of the 35th Anniversary celebration of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology–National Capital Region (BJMP-NCR).
The bloodletting activity brought together jail personnel, Rotary member, volunteers, and partner organizations in a shared effort to help address the continuing need for an adequate and accessible blood supply. The Rotary Club of Roces actively encouraged voluntary blood donation and mobilized support for the life-saving initiative.
Through the collective efforts of the participating organizations and individuals, a total of 52 bags of blood were successfully collected, surpassing the number gathered during the previous blood donation drive. The PBC-DOH also recognized Malabon CJMD for its continued dedication and support of the National Blood Donation Program.
For the Rotary Club of Roces, the activity served as a meaningful expression of Rotary International’s principle of “Service Above Self.” More than a blood donation campaign, the initiative demonstrated how partnerships between government institutions, civic organizations, and volunteers can create a lasting impact on the community.
The successful collection of 52 blood bags underscored the importance of compassion, volunteerism, and collective action. Through continued community-based initiatives, the Rotary Club of Roces remains committed to promoting humanitarian service and contributing to healthier and more compassionate communities across the region.
